Advocate Paweł Frańczak is the managing partner of the pflaw firm.
​
In his professional activity, Paweł Frańczak focuses on advising Polish and foreign clients in the corporate area, capital group development, legal aspects of electronically provided services, online marketing, financial services, brokerage and payment services, due diligence and audit, as well as the fintech and cryptocurrency industries. Adv. Frańczak also advises clients in the broadly understood area of ​​regulatory compliance, compliance, personal data protection, AML and the law of new technologies, eg cloud computing.

In his professional career, Mr Frańczak has advised Polish and foreign companies and capital groups such as brokerage houses, investment firms, investment funds, technology companies, e-commerce companies, payment institutions, fintech companies, cryptocurrency companies and blockchain technologies. Consulting included business, transactions, capital group development, regulatory and licensing processes, implementation of legal regulations, startup processes, consultations with regulators, optimization of onboarding processes, consulting in the field of marketing, personal data protection, AML processes and many others.

During his many years of professional experience, Mec. Frańczak advised on the implementation and adaptation of companies and capital groups to legal acts both Polish and EU such as MIFID I, MIFID II, CRD, CRR, MIFIR, EMIR, AML III and AML 4, RODO, PSD 1 and PSD 2.

Paweł Frańczak graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw, the Cambridge British Law Center and is a member of Bar Association in Warsaw. Mr Frańczak began his career with cooperation with an international law firm based in Warsaw. Then, in the period from 2007 to 2018, Mr Frańczak cooperated and advised investment and technology companies operating both in Poland and on global markets.

In the years 2007-2012 he held the post of the Global Head of Compliance and then the Director of the Legal Department in the largest Polish brokerage house;
In the years 2011-2014 he held the position of a board member in brokerage houses based in London and Cyprus.
​
In 2012-2017 he held the position of a Member of the Management Board responsible for the area of capital group development, legal, compliance and risk management in the largest Polish and one of the largest European brokerage houses, controlling the capital group operating on 12 foreign markets. Mr Frańczak played an important role in building the group's foreign presence, supporting the opening of foreign branches, subsidiaries and cooperation with foreign partners and being responsible for the operation and development of the capital group.

Mr. Frańczak was also a member of the Council of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses and is a panelist of many Polish and international conferences related to the financial market and the market of new technologies. Adv. Frańczak also participated in the Working Group for the Development of Financial Innovations (FinTech) in Poland appointed by the Ministry of Development and the Financial Supervision Commission. The group's s goal was to take measures to remove identified barriers for innovation in Poland.

Attorney-at-law Piotr Klamka has many years of experience gained while working for reputable entities in the banking sector and investment firms, where he was responsible among others for ensuring compliance. Piotr Klamka was also the Chief Compliance Officer at an investment firm. Mr. Klamka participated in the implementation of the most important legal acts regulating the activities of financial sector entities, such as MIFID II, CRD, CRR, GDPR or AML IV.
Piotr Klamka has extensive experience in personal data protection, privacy protection and new technologies (fintech). For many years Mr. Klamka was the Data Protection Officer at one of the largest investment firms in Poland, where he was responsible, among others, for monitoring the compliance of the company's operations and its foreign branches with regulations on personal data protection (including the GDPR). To deepen his knowledge in the area of new technologies, Piotr Klamka completed postgraduate studies "Law of the New Technologies" organized by Leon Koźmiński Academy. In his professional practice Mr. Klamka has participated in implementation of the Financial Supervision Authority's cloud computing guidelines and adjusting the company to the ISO/IEC 27001.

For many years Piotr Klamka has been providing his knowledge and experience to entities from the renewable energy sector. Mr. Klamka has gained his knowledge and experience in the area of RES and energy law while working for, among others, a wind energy company belonging to an international capital group headquartered in the United States. For many years, Mr. Klamka has been providing legal support to one of the largest photovoltaic companies in Poland, which develops PV projects, builds photovoltaic farms, and provides maintenance services.

Piotr Klamka also provides legal assistance to clients in civil proceedings, administrative proceedings and labor law. Mr. Klamka has experience in litigation, he represented the clients at different stages of civil proceedings (proceedings before the court of first instance, appeal proceedings, cassation appeal to the Supreme Court) and administrative proceedings (representation at the stage of administrative proceedings before a public administration body, appeal, complaint to the Voivodship Administrative Court, cassation appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court). Piotr Klamka also has practical knowledge of labor law.
Mr. Klamka graduated in law at the University of Warsaw and finished legal training at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-law in Warsaw. He also graduated from Center for American Law Studies: Levin College of Law.
Attorney-at-law is fluent in English and Russian. He developed his knowledge of Russian while completing the Course of Russian Law organized by Lazarski University in cooperation with universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Mariusz Gumola has over 17 years of experience in tax and legal consulting. He cooperated with renowned Polish tax and legal firms, gaining expertise in the area of tax and penal fiscal law. He has provided tax advisory services to clients from the construction, fuel, publishing, financial and medical industries. Mr. Gumola specializes in representing taxpayers in contacts and disputes with the tax authorities. As a representative, he has repeatedly successfully defended his clients’ rights in tax proceedings as well as in proceedings before Administrative Courts. His practice also focuses on ongoing comprehensive tax consultancy, with particular reference to Value Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax, Real Estate Tax and Capital Raising Tax.
Mr. Gumola is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. For nearly 10 years he has been cooperating on a constant basis with the largest Polish legal publishing house. He is an author of numerous press publications and co-author of several books on tax issues.
